Earthy Minimalism: A Sustainable 6M Budget Home in Kiriwaththuduwa
In the quiet village of Kiriwaththuduwa, we set out to prove that a limited budget doesn’t mean limited design. This project was specifically tailored for a medium-income family with a clear vision: a functional, 3-bedroom home built for 6 Million LKR, utilizing their own stock of natural stone and raw timber.
Architectural Approach:
- Material Honesty: To keep costs low and aesthetics high, we minimized plastering. Exposed natural stone walls and raw timber elements become the primary decor, reducing material and labor costs.
- The “Great Veranda”: The heart of the home is a large, open veranda that acts as a bridge between the living area and the lush garden. This creates a sense of vast space without the cost of extra walls.
- Efficient Layout: A compact yet airy 3-bedroom floor plan with one centralized bathroom, a cozy living/dining area, and a separate, functional pantry.
- Climate-Smart Openings: Windows and doors are placed only where essential for cross-ventilation and light, focusing on durability and thermal comfort.

සීමිත අයවැයක් යනු සීමිත නිර්මාණශීලීත්වයක් නොවන බව පසක් කරමින්, කිරිවත්තුඩුව ග්රාමීය පරිසරයේ රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 60ක වියදමින් මෙම සුවිශේෂී නිවස අපි නිර්මාණය කළෙමු. සේවාදායකයා සතුව තිබූ ස්වාභාවික ගල් සහ දැව උපරිම ලෙස භාවිත කරමින්, මධ්යම පාන්තික පවුලක අවශ්යතා සපුරාලන අයුරින් මෙම සැලසුම නිමවා ඇත.

- සංයුක්ත සැලසුම: නිදන කාමර 3ක්, නාන කාමරයක්, සාලය සහ කෑම කාමරය මෙන්ම වෙන්වූ පෑන්ට්රි ප්රදේශයකින් සමන්විත මෙම සැලසුම ක්රියාකාරීත්වය අතින් ඉතා ඉහළය.
